Skype signing in problems 22 Dec'10

Today 22 Dec'10 millions of Skype users faced difficulties signing in to Skype. The problem is caused by a large number of Skype "supernodes" taken offline as a result of a bug affecting some versions of Skype app. "Supernodes" are the key of Skype P2P functioning, these clients' machines are coordinators of P2P network. Normally the role of "supernode" is automatically dedicated to Skype clients  by some Skype algorithm, which takes into account computer resources and internet connection bandwidth. Details of the algorithm are not available.

Multiple Skype accounts. How to set only one account to be recorded

Q: I have two Skype accounts. One that I use for business purposes and another that is used to make personal calls. If I want to record only the conversations I'm making on one particular account, but not the other, is this possible?
 

A: You can change if the Skype allows to record calls for each account separately.

MP3 Skype Recorder v. 1.9.0 is released

New version of  MP3 Skype Recorder v.1.9.0 was released today. 
Bugs fixed:

  • Empty recordings - 0KB mp3 files on some systems.
  • One channel recording in rear cases.

New features:

  • 24 bits recording mode, extremely compact, but still enough for call recording.

Improvements:

  • Sample rate was changed from 44.1KHz to 16KHz, that doesn't reduce the quality of recording, as it still covers the hole Skype bandwidth. This significantly shrinks the size of mp3 files.
